Teatrino Film Series Screens Dagitab, Instant Mommy, Sana Dati and Mariquina this March

Teatrino, the biggest little theater in San Juan City, brings four new Filipino independent films for screening in its Teatrino Film Series (TFS) this March. Dagitab and Instant Mommy come onscreen on March 14, at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. respectively. Sana Dati and Mariquina show on March 28 at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., respectively.

Dagitab directed by Giancarlo Abrahan and starring Eula Valdes as a wife embroiled in an extramarital scandal won Best Screenplay, Best First Feature, Best Cinematography and Best Scene (the beach scene) in the 2014 Cinemalaya Festival. Valdes also took home the Best Actress plum for the film.

Instant Mommy, directed by Leo Abaya, is a comedy-drama that stars multi-awarded comedienne Eugene Domingo and Hollywood-based Japanese actor Yuki Matsuzaki. It is the story of Bechayda, a wardrobe assistant who aspires for a better life and tries to achieve it through her Japanese fiance.

Sana Dati, which is making its comeback to Teatrino, is a 2013 love story starring Lovi Poe and directed by Jerrold Tang.

Mariquina, is a moving film about lives intertwined with the Marikina shoe industry starring Ricky Davao, Mylene Dizon and Barbie Forteza.

Teatrino introduced the The Teatrino Film Series in September 2014 and brought it back in January due to popular acclaim.
