Nine must-see films bring back Teatrino Film Series in November, December

The T.E.A.T.R.I.N.O. Film Series is back! And this time, nine films screened in November and December will give film buffs some welcome Holiday gifts for their viewing pleasure.

On November 28, Jerrold Tarrog’s “Sana Dati” makes a comeback at 4:30 p.m., followed by Lorna, a film by Sigrid Andrea Bernardo at 7 p.m. “Lorna” is the story of a single mom looking for love played exquisitely by Sharmaine Buencamino. Pepe Diokno’s highly acclaimed “Above the Clouds” starring Ruru Madrid and Pepe Smith caps off the Saturday fest at 9:30 p.m.

On December 12, another Jerrold Tarog film starts the movie marathon at 4:30 p.m. “Senior Year” starring Aaron Balana and Celina Peñaflorida, is a 2010 production about ten students in a Catholic private school who go through many challenges and transitions on their last year in high school.

“Sleepless” by Prime Cruz starring Glaiza de Castro and Dominic Roco follows at 7 p.m., and “Alagwa” by Ian Lorenos, starring Jericho Rosales, goes on at 9:30 p.m.

On December 19, Alvin Yapan’s “Ang Sayaw ng Dalawang Paa” starring Rocco Nacino and Paolo Avelino comes back to haunt all lovers of dance, beauty and gender equality. Mihk Vergara’s “Patintero: Ang Alamat Ni Meng Patalo” takes on the 7 p.m. slot, while Jason Paul Laxamana’s “Magkakabaung” starring Allen Dizon and Gladys Reyes closes the Film Series festival for 2015.

Due to logistical issues, MAGKAKABAUNG will NOT be shown this Saturday at Teatrino. It will be replaced by QCinema 2015 Best Picture APOCALYPSE CHILD.
