More Must-Watch Movies : March and April 2017

The weather is heating up, and so are the movies!

Much awaited sure-fire hits are in the mix, so we hope this list of must-watch releases will help make your movie watching much more fun!

All set to liven up March is Logan which opens Wednesday, March 1. This is all about Wolverine – the favorite Marvel Comics character in its X-Men series. Logan (Hugh Jackman) is past his prime in this movie and undertakes a final adventure in the post-apocalyptic future. While caring for Professor X in a remote outpost in the Mexican border, Logan is forced to come out of hiding to protect a young mutant (Dafne Keen) who is just like him. Don’t miss this 10th installment of the X-Men series. It is the third and final Wolverine film. After this, it’s bye-bye, Hugh Jackman on X-Men.

On March 9, say hello to King Kong one more time: bigger, meaner, and more fascinating. Kong: Skull Island takes audiences deep into a mysterious and dangerous uncharted island that a team of explorers has chanced upon in the Pacific. It is the domain of the king of the apes, who is battling monster predators on the island called Skullcrawlers. The expedition crew tries to survive by battling Kong. But should they save him instead? Tom Hiddleston (The Avengers), Samuel L. Jackson and Brie Larson star.

Beauty and the Beast fans, now is your moment. The first retelling of Beauty & The Beast in a live action film format happens on March 15 and will sweep you off your feet. The adaptation of Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont’s fairy talke stars an ensemble cast that includes Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, Luke Evans, Kevin Kline, Ewan McGregor, Stanley Tucci and Ian McKellen, among others.

Also in March, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword hits the screens. Arthur’s father is murdered and hius uncle Vortigern (Jude Law) seizes the throne. Arthur grows up clueless about his birthright and lives the hard life in the back alleys of the town. Then one day he pulls the sword from the stone and the rest of his life begins. Charlie Hunnam (Pacific Rim) stars as Arthur and takes us back to medieval times on March 23.

April kicks off with a delightful double whammy of films in April. The Boss Baby, a 3D computer-animated film based on the 2010 picture book of the same name opens on April 15. It’s a hilarious story about how a new baby’s arrival turns everything topsy turvy for the family. Told from the point of view of a wildly imaginative seven-year old named Tim (Tobey McGuire), it stars the voices of Alec Baldwin, Mikes Bakshi, Steve Buscemi, Jimmy Kimmel and Lisa Kudrow.

Also opening on the same day is Fast and Furious 8. Now that Dom (Vin Diesel) and Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) are on their honeymoon, Brian and Mia have retired from the game, and the rest of the crew has been exonerated, the globetrotting team has found a semblance of a normal life. But when a mysterious woman seduces Dom back into a world of crime that he can’t seem to escape, the crew will face trials that will test them as never before. All hail, the F&F franchise!

Lastly, Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is all set to debut on April 26. The sequel to 2014’s Guardians of the Galaxy again stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana and an ensemble cast that includes Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Elizabeth Debecki, Sylvester Stallone and Kurt Russell, among others. In the movie, the Guardians travel throughout the cosmos as they help Peter Quill learn more about his true parentage.
