Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw – July 31

This spin-off from The Fast and the Furious franchise stars two characters, Luke Hobbs and Deckard Shaw. The duo lawman Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson), a loyal agent of America’s Diplomatic Security Service, and lawless outcast Shaw (Jason Statham), a former British military elite operative — first faced off in  Furious 7, and have been at each other since then. But now they must face a cyber-genetically enhanced anarchist Brixton (Idris Elba) who gains control of an insidious bio-threat that could alter humanity forever. These two sworn enemies will have to partner up to bring down the only guy who might be badder than themselves.

Hello, Love, Goodbye – July 31

This is the story of two overseas workers, Ethan and Joy, who fall in love in Hong Kong. Directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, this is the first project of Kapamilya star Kathryn Bernardo and Kapuso idol Alden Richards – reason enough to catch the flick.

Indak – August 7

Indak is a dance musical film directed by Paul Basinillo, starring Nadine Lustre and Sam Concepcion, and produced by Viva Films. Watch it for its happy, Bollywoodish vibe.

 Dora and the Lost City of Gold – August 14

Having spent most of her life exploring the jungle, nothing could prepare Dora for her most dangerous adventure yet — high school. Accompanied by a ragtag group of teens and Boots the monkey, Dora embarks on a quest to save her parents while trying to solve the seemingly impossible mystery behind a lost Incan civilization.

The Angry Birds 2 – August 21

Red, Chuck, Bomb and the rest of their feathered friends are surprised when a green pig suggests that they put aside their differences and unite to fight a common threat. Aggressive birds from an island covered in ice are planning to use an elaborate weapon to destroy the fowl and swine way of life. After picking their best and brightest, the birds and pigs come up with a scheme to infiltrate the island, deactivate the device and return to their respective paradises intact. This is a sequel to the 2016 Angry Birds Movie.

Angel Has Fallen – August 21

After the events in the previous film, Secret Service agent Mike Banning finds himself framed for an assassination attempt on President Allan Trumbull. Authorities take him into custody, but he escapes. Banning must evade the FBI and his own agency to get to the truth of the matter. He must clear his name and uncover the real terrorist threat. Gerald Butler and Morgan Freeman star.

Once Upon A Time.. In Hollywood – August 28

Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood visits 1969 Los Angeles, where everything is changing. TV star Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt) make their way around an industry they hardly recognize anymore. The ninth film from the writer-director features a large ensemble cast and multiple storylines in a tribute to the final moments of Hollywood’s golden age.
