Have a HAPPY, HOPPY EASTER at the Promenade

Easter-Egg-2015Did you know that the word Easter comes from the Latin word oestre which means egg? And that the origin of the Easter holiday is actually pagan since it comes from the name of a German fertility goddess named Eostre whose name was previously given to an entire month called Eostur Month, then limited to just one specific holiday which is now called Easter?

It’s no mean coincidence that Easter also always happens in Spring – the first Season and the beginning of Nature’s New Year. And what is at the start of many beginnings? Right. Eggs.

So on April 5, 2015 – EASTER SUNDAY – Promenade Greenhills will have its traditional EASTER EGG HUNT called HAPPY HOPPY EASTER 2015! All kids and parents are invited to participate and have fun looking for where the Easter Bunny hid the Easter eggs this year. 500 eggs will be distributed after the 10:30 a.m. EASTER SUNDAY MASS and if you look harder for the hidden eggs, you win a prize!

So hop, skip and jump over to the Promenade Greenhills on Easter Sunday and celebrate the miracle of Easter with us. It’s going to be EGGS-citing!
